Trying to stop students from cheating entirely in online tests can be challenging, and we employ several strategies to help reduce its prevalence. However, we cannot say that a student has attempted to cheat outside of in-person monitoring.

You can randomize both question and answer order in any assessment. Randomization makes it highly unlikely for students, who may be sitting within view of each other, to compare answers or copy from each other.

Our algorithm ensures different questions are selected whenever you generate a test for your students when pulling from a larger pool of questions. Every student in your course will receive a different yet fair assessment, making it difficult for students to share answers.

Teachers can keep the questions and their correct answers behine a private login to protect the integrity of their tests. Once logged in, teachers can see when assessments are started, and how long it took them to complete the assessment.

Teachers can set limits on how long their students can take an assessment. A green timer will appear in the top right corner during an assessment, and slowly fade to yellow, then red as time starts to expire. The assessment is graded automatically when the time expires. Setting a time limit prevents students from pausing a test, looking up the answer, then coming back. The timer is server side, so even if a student logs out the timer will persist.

Teachers can choose what students will see after an assessment is graded. For instance, teachers can show or hide questions, correct answers, wrong answers, and feedback per question. Teachers are always in control of what a student sees after an assessment.

Teachers can allow students to retake an assessment multiple times, or not at all. Students can receive the same set of questions or a new set of questions during retakes. Teachers can also ask all questions again, or display only missed questions on retakes.
