## Selling and sharing

### Offering a free sample of your audio

There are two ways to let people hear your audio before they buy or join.

**Option 1: a sample in the Preview tab.** Add a sample audio file in the product's Preview tab. It's the quickest option and keeps everything on one product page. A preview is a single file, so it suits a short excerpt.

**Option 2: a separate free product.** Create a second audio product with the Free pricing model. Unlike a preview, it can hold several files, so it suits a longer sample, such as a few tracks from the album. For example, "The Quiet Within Full Album" is membership-only, while "The Quiet Within Sample" is free for everyone.

To set up option 2:

1. Create the full album and set it to Membership Only (or Fixed price).
2. Create a second audio product with a clear name such as "[Album name] Sample", and set its pricing to Free.
3. Add the sample tracks to it.
4. Mention the sample in the full album's description and link to it.

Both products appear in your catalog, so visitors can listen first and join or buy afterward. Use the Preview tab for a quick teaser, and a separate free product when you want to share more than one file.

### Sharing the product link

Every product has its own address, built from its slug: `/p/your-slug` on your portal. Open the product page with **View Product Page** and copy the address from your browser to share it in emails, social posts or messages.

If you deactivate a product, it is hidden from your store.

Turning off **Show in public catalog** only removes the product from the catalog. Anyone with the link can still open the product page, so this is a way to share a product privately. The page becomes unavailable only when the product's landing page is turned off.

### Making the product easy to find

- Write a title that says what the listener will get.
- Add tags in the Settings tab: comma-separated words buyers might search for.
- Keep Show in public catalog on if you want the product listed alongside your other items.
