Adding Content

EProfessor's integrated learning system (ILS) permits various media types to combine instruction and assessment within a single platform effectively. Including multiple media types in your instruction creates an engaging, interactive, and cohesive learning experience. Here’s a breakdown of the types of media typically needed:

1. Text-Based Content:

Articles and Readings: Written content is the backbone of most educational materials, offering a structured and detailed means of conveying information across various subjects. This type of content is essential because it allows for thorough explanations, the presentation of complex ideas, and the establishment of a foundational understanding that other media can build upon.

With eProfessor's  WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor, you can add HTML elements for an integrated learning experience. You will have many options by clicking on the "+" icon in the editor, including text, headings, lists, tables, links, attachments, videos, images, and more. You can even include URLs from your favorite services, like YouTube, Vimeo, Pinterest, Twitter (X), Imgur, and more.

2. Video Content:

Instructional Videos: These are used to explain complex concepts, demonstrate procedures, or provide visual examples. Videos can be integrated with embedded quizzes or questions to assess understanding as learners watch. Animated videos or simulations can help illustrate abstract concepts or processes that are difficult to understand through text alone.

Adding video or animations to eProfessor is as simple as dragging and dropping your files to upload or copy and paste into a video URL.

3. Interactive Elements:

Quizzes and Assessments: Embedded quizzes, multiple-choice questions, and interactive exercises allow students to test their knowledge immediately after being introduced to new material.

When adding questions to your integrated lessons, you can set the question type when adding answers to your questions, making the test varied and exciting for the student. You can also set a point value per question, and if you use multiple correct as the question type, set a value for each correct answer.

4. Graphics and Visual Aids:

Infographics and Diagrams: Visual aids like charts, graphs, and diagrams help convey information clearly and concisely, making complex ideas easier to understand. Relevant images and illustrations can enhance comprehension by providing visual context or examples.

Images can be added to your questions in two locations: the question itself or as thumbnails that enlarge when the student clicks on them. Image types accepted are JPG, PNG, and GIF.  You can paste an image URL or drag and drop the image to upload it.

5. Feedback Mechanisms:

Instant Feedback: Systems that provide real-time feedback on quizzes, assessments, and activities help students learn from their mistakes and reinforce correct understanding. EProfessor's reports show learners’ progress, achievements, and areas for improvement, which can help guide their learning journey. With reports, you can view student's graded exams and learn which questions students often miss. You can regrade questions and view mean, median, and mode for your classes, exams, and students. You can even send out certificates.

Please note: By integrating these various types of media, an integrated learning system can create a rich, multi-faceted learning environment that caters to different learning styles and keeps students actively engaged in the learning process.
