Student - Quick Start
The student portal is controlled by the teacher(s) and the owner(s) of the eProfessor account to which they subscribe. The student portal for your teacher and organization can be deployed in various ways:
1. On an eProfessor server.
• Your teacher will be assigned a web address at my.eprofessor.com/your-organization-name
The account owner (teacher) can update this address so that the "your-organization-name" can be anything they choose, as long as it meets the web address format (no spaces or special characters, except a dash or underscore).
For private exams, teachers register their students and email them the username, password, and URL where they log in to take their courses or exams. Teachers can also enable self-registration, allowing anyone with the proper URL to sign up.
For public exams, a teacher will also need to send you an email with the URL where you can take their public courses or exams, either free or for a fee. Free public courses and exams are not tracked—you'll receive a score, but your teacher will not know who took them.
2. On your teacher's web page or learning management system.
• The student portal's URL points to a web page or learning management system they control. A single line of Javascript has been embedded on the web page.
The student portal on your teacher's page will have its colors and logo and be indistinguishable from the student portal on eProfessor's website, other than the custom URL.
