Merchant Accounts

 

You will need a merchant account to process customer payments when you sell access to your courses or exams. The merchant accounts for EProfessor are Stripe and Paypal; both will process VISA, MasterCard, Discovery, and American Express.  


All merchant accounts process credit card transactions for a fee—none are free. For instance, Stripe and Paypal charge 2.9% + 30 cents per successful change for domestic cards.

You must first set up a Stripe or PayPal account to choose your merchant account at EProfessor. 



1. Sign in to the teacher admin as the account owner, and click "Settings" in the menu at the top.

2. Click "Owner" in the vertical menu on the left.


3. Choose Stripe or Paypal below, then enter the email address you used for your Stripe or PayPal account.

4. If you choose Stripe, you can further customize which currency you wish to use. This currency is also reflected in your student portal.

 

 

Please note: EProfessor deducts merchant fees from the percentage taken from each sale and not from your totals. For instance, if you choose the ultimate plan and choose a 15% deduction, the merchant fees are removed from that 15% and not your 85%.
